Influence
Every night I lay in bed thinking. Thinking about all the people that have made an impact on my life. All those who have left an imprint on who I am seem to float around in my mind. Sometimes I think about these people and I smile, other times I lay here and cry.
Tonight I smiled. I smiled at the thought of my grade three teacher. She was amazing. She impacted my life in such a way that I can’t even describe it. If only she knew. I wish I could tell her how amazing she is. How much she taught me and how to this day she still has an impact on my decisions.
Ms. Nichol you are amazing. Simply put, you are amazing. I am so lucky to have had you in my life at that particular time. You are a huge reason why I am the person I am today.
We don’t often give credit to our teachers. Some of them enter your life and exit so quickly, they don’t leave a footprint in your sand. Others stick like a heavy foot in wet cement. Ms. Nichol is one of those teachers.
Patricia, I hope you appreciate her as much as I do :) I can’t forget our crazy antics in Grade three. On this trip down memory lane I have to give you a shout-out. Our FBI days on the bus make me smile every now and then. 12 years of friendship and going strong :)
Ms. Nichol, since this blog is dedicated to you… Thank you. I hope one day I can let you know just how much you mean to me and how much you have impacted my life.
To the other influential teacher in my life, I haven’t forgotten you, I’m actually far from it. I owe you a piece of my mind, heart and frankly- the world. Soon.
